this is a replica of the pattern 1833 French Navy
boarding cutlass. This weapon was a favorite of
pirates in the Caribbian in the 19th century. It
has a full brass basket handguard and a curved
cast metal blade 58 cms./23″ long. Pommel and
grip are cast metal in steel finish.Total length of
sword (blade in black “leather” scabbard with
brass furniture) is 77 cms/30″. Weight : 1.6 kgs/
3.1/2 lbs.It is ideal for display and roll play,
however not “battle worthy”
