Telescopes:
This set consists of the following seven solid brass telescopes:
A – 32” crossed stitched leather sheathed tapered telescope with sunshade in antique finish larger
32” crossed stitched leather sheathed handheld spyglass telescopes with sunshade. Our largest
handheld spyglass telescope requires a man’s full arm extension to hold. These large solid brass
telescopes are 32 ½ “ long when fully extended and is of 12” (30.5 cm) when collapsed. These fourpipe telescopes are available in three versions; Polished brass, hand-sewn leather sheathed brass,
and antique finish. All versions have bright 5-element ground glass optics with a powerful 20-power
view. All are heavy solid brass.
The telescopes are 2 ½ “ (6.4 cm) in diameter with a 52 mm diameter ground glass objective lens. A
built-in sunshade extends to reduce lens flare.

B – 24” plain tapered telescope in full brass with sunshade This is a beautiful full-sized solid brass
antique reproduction of a spyglass telescope. The large 24” “ Telescope is 2 ½ “ in diameter and 8
5/8 “ long when collapsed. It is solid, and is constructed entirely of threaded solid brass tubing and
fittings with no glued components. This powerful 16-power telescope also has four brass pipes,
with the largest pipe being tapered. A built-in sunshade extends 2 “ to reduce lens flare.
The telescope measures a full 28 ½ “ when fully extended. The optics is precision ground glass with
anti-reflection coatings and the objective lens is 42 mm in diameter

C – 24” plain telescope in wooden pipe with cover This is a beautiful full-sized solid brass antique
reproduction of a spyglass telescope. The large 24” Telescope is 2 ½ “ in diameter and 8 5/8 “ long
when collapsed. It is solid, and is constructed entirely of threaded solid brass tubing and fittings
with no glued components. This powerful 16-power telescope also has four brass pipes, with the

extends to reduce lens flare. When fully extended, the polished telescope measures 17 1/8 “ long
and the leather sheathed version measures 17 ¾ “. The diameter of the objective lens is 37.25
mm. The telescopes are solid, are constructed entirely of threaded solid brass tubing and fittings
with no glued components.

F – 18” plain telescope in full brass with cover18”-” Spyglass Telescopes are available in polished
brass. Either telescope is 2 1/8 “ in diameter and 6 ½ “ long when collapsed. These 12-power
telescopes have four brass pipes, with the largest pipe being tapered. A built-in sunshade extends
to reduce lens flare. When fully extended, the polished telescope measures 17 1/8 “ long and the
leather sheathed version measures 17 ¾ “.

G – 10” plain pocket telescope with cover The small but powerful brass Pocket Telescope is 10” in
diameter. The telescope is made from solid brass and has a special clear coating that never requires
polishing and will not tarnish. The 12-power Pocket Telescope has two pipes and. The optics is
high quality multi-coated glass with objective lens diameter and a large diameter eyepiece
